I moved to Laingsburg recently and noticed many people are interested in repairing and selling cars. I think a co-op garage would be great thing for this community. I would like to see it having all the equipment of a professional garage, lifts and tools, plus co-op members would be able to buy auto parts at cost, saving money. I think it would benefit all of the citizens in town as well, by providing a place to go for cheap auto services and maybe even a place where engines could be converted to use biofuel. It would be pleasant to not have noisy engines revving for hours on end in residential neighborhoods as well! (I have to admit, being repeatedly awakened at 4:00 a.m. by a revving engine inspired this idea. Now if I could just come up with an idea to encourage everyone to either quit burning leaves or pick one day a week to do it so we'd have nice clean air again!) Also, people would have a place to work indoors in the winter so they could service more cars having the ability to do it year round. If anyone is interested in helping to organize this, let me know. I can donate administrative support. Thank you.
