I am certified with a CDA from Lansing Community College. My most recent employer was Head Start and I was a Teacher's Assistant, prior to that employer I worked for Spartan Child Development Center as an Assistant Teacher. I love to work with children.

Although I am not a state licensed daycare, I have all the personal qualifications to be. I have had training in different areas too. I know how to perform CPR and first aid when needed. We are looking for a reliable, patient, good natured person to assist grandma in our home with providing care for the boys when we both return to work full time in the fall. You will never be responsible for all three by yourself as (at least) one other person will always be there to help.

We are looking for someone to begin on or about Monday, August 18th. The hours would be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The pay is $5.00/hr which is about $250.00 per week. We do have two dogs, but they are very friendly. You would have no other responsibilities other than to help care for the boys by holding them, changing them, helping to bathe them, playing with them, feeding them, and putting them down for naps. (Maybe you could let the dogs out into the backyard through the sliding door once in a while, but that would be it.) If there is any down-time, you can feel free to read a book, use our computer, or study if you are in school when the boys are napping.

This job would be perfect for a college or graduate student looking to make some extra money. If you cannot work full time due to class schedule, but have a friend or fellow student who may be able to split the hours with you so that all the time is covered, we are willing to consider that as well.

I have 2 girls of my own, one is 3 and the other just turned 2. They are great! They are big balls of energy, so I have become very good at balancing their days so they can release all of that physical energy through play inside and out, and still have time to sit and read, do art, and do other educational activites.

We do all of the above things almost every day, and I know when I get kids in here, we will adhere to our schedule even more and make sure we do everything possible every day. I currently do care for a 5 month old baby girl, as well as her 4 year old brother. And I babysit my neighbors daughter whom is 4 years old.
I have been taking care of kids since I was 9 years old. Not by choice but I did. So I have TONS of experience with children. And even more so since I had my own children. =)
I offer round the clock care for children because when I was out there working, it was hard for me to have my daycare provider to watch my children if my hours changed, or if I was asked to come in early or needed to stay late. It wasn't something they wanted to do. As well as it being hard to find someone else to be able to do that for me.
My children love having other children over to play and they love that I am able to stay at home with them as well, and to help out at school and to volunteer.
I don't charge much for care, as I am not trying to get rich off of this, but its a way to have an income. Makes me happy, and I am sure it makes the parents happy that they are not paying an arm and a leg for it.
For full time I charge $90 a week, and for part time I charge $50 a week.
This is an all year round rate, not just for summer. =)
I provide all meals and snacks for children, unless there would be anything you wanted to provide yourself. Please make sure to tell me if your child(ren) have any allergies.
Also I do have animals in my home, so in case of any severe allergies to that. I have a indoor cat, and two dogs, one is a black lab and the other a chihuahua. All of my animals are very well behaved, and are excellent around children. My son is kinda rough with them and they never seem to mind, and if they are bothered they will just walk away.
I don't enforce a strict enviroment, its pretty laid back. Pretty much just regular house rules I suppose. I have never had any children not want to com eback to my house if that helps. haha =)
