Antique school bell with yoke. Made by CS Bell Company out of Hillsboro Ohio. It was made in the late 1800's and used in a one room school house. It's a number 3 with 18 inch opening. The bell is in excellent condition without cracks, and has the original gong. It sounds great, it does get people's attention! The newly made yoke, which also allows for the bell to be hung, costs $400-plus to make due to the designing, machining and welding involved. The bell would make a great addition to a camp, resort, farm or antique store.
