I'm helping another friend's widow with his estate, which involved bringing a couple trailer loads of stuff home from Florida.
I have a McCaskey Register Co. roll-top file cabinet/desk-top file in very good condition. Circa about 1900, this piece is quarter-sawn oak and has two large areas for files and two small drawers. A bit dusty, but everything works. My camera has some issues and several of the photos look 'dull', but the finish is the rich color that shows on the close-up of the McCaskey plaque. It was sitting on an oak library table that didn't quite match and wouldn't fit in the trailer. It would look nice on a similar table, desk, or display case. It measures 55.5 inches wide, 18.5 inches front-to-back, and 11.5 inches tall, with short (1/4 inch ?) white button feet on the four bottom corners. I'm offering it now for $600.00
