I'm helping liquidate a friend's estate from Florida and I brought back a few boxes of the various old dishes that he had.
He traveled a great deal, so I do not know if the dishes were purchased where made or something he collected. I've noted any known flaws on each item, otherwise they are all in excellent shape.

I have a Talavera platter hand painted in a nice blend of blue, brown, and golden yellow (UofM?). It is 15.5 inches long, 12 inches wide, and also wired for hanging. Selling it for $50.00

I have a interesting blue/gold plate with scalloped sides (sort of like a deviled egg plate, but shallower). It is obviously hand painted, and rather messily, with paint smears on the face and back, under the glazing. The back is marked "Fanc i Foc" or "Fanc i Fol", 510/A It is in very good condition, wired for hanging, and selling for $20.00

I have a group of four vintage coasters or trinket plates for Brazil, manufactured by the Deland Studios for the Moore-McCormack Lines. These are 3.25 inches across, with gilt trim and were souvenirs available on the cruise ships in the late 50's, early 60's. There were originally 6 different designs, plus a larger plate in the grouping, sold separately. Selling the group of 4 together for $35.00

I have another same-style dish that is part of a set of 16 commissioned by Ducks Unlimited in the early 60's. It is a hand-colored drawing by Milton C. Weiler of a Brant (duck). Selling it for $10.00

I have a vintage heavy glass desk inkwell base in excellent condition. It measures just under 8.5 x 5.25 inches. Selling it for $20.00

I have a nice small cut-glass item that reminds me of a salt cellar, but it has two compartments (so I'm pretty sure it's something else). Unfortunately, when I was measuring it (3 1/3 x 1 3/4 x 1 1/2 tall) I discovered that it is chipped on the one bottom corner. Selling as is for only $2

I have a cute little vase-like container from Lake George Souvenir Company. Made in Germany, it has a couple tiny cracks in the top (see close-ups) and a painting of what I believe is a sailing ship on the front. Might work nice for a toothpick holder or something similar. Selling it for $15.00

I have a shallow, scallop-shaped dish in a pretty sky-blue color. This was being used to hold assorted nuts and pinecones as a centerpiece, but would also make a nice candy/cookie dish, etc. Selling it for $12.00.

If this ad is still up, the item is available; please do not contact me just to ask that.

If you are interested, either call or email (no texts). I usually check my computer a few times each day, or you can often reach me quicker by calling the house phone between 7am and 8pm. (click ‘reply’, then ‘show phone number’)
