I have a real nice old STAR paper-cutter that is part of an estate I'm helping to liquidate. He actually used it as a very 'over-kill' paper towel holder, but it was originally meant to hold the brown/white paper that hardware stores and groceries used to wrap items when sold. It holds a roll 18 inches long. The actual cutter is 12 inches tall, 2.25 inches thick, and 22.5 inches wide (not counting the piece of 2x6 that he attached it to. Works fine. I put the short paper tube in place for photos, but normally that long blade would rest on the roll of paper.
