This booklet advertised Brokus Auto Sales in Allegan, MI, a far cry from Madison Square Garden.
This booklet was part of the Packard Sports Library and was sent (and tailored) for all the dealers in the country.
The middle of the booklet is generic, It has a long article on the history of Madison Square Garden, which was built primarily for boxing. There’s a picture of the planner of the Garden shaking hands with Dempsey. There’s another one of Joe Louis. And two pages are devoted to the record crowds for all kinds of events.
Hockey was also a big moneymaker for the arena.
The middle inside of the booklet advertises the reliability of Packard car parts. The back outside and inside cover also advertises the quality of Packard products. The front inside also reminds Packard owners of the quality of service Packard dealers provided.
The booklet is 7 x 5 inches.
So, I’m guessing Brokus Auto Sales in Allegan sold quite a few Packards. The company was located on 311 Hubbard Street with a really interesting, and short, phone number.
