“Good Stories” was a women’s magazine published in the early 1900s. It was designed to to provide fashion advice, lifestyle, weight management, and love—along with a short story or two.
The magazine also has some great ads from nearly a century ago. Many of them were quack medicine remedies.
Two of the three magazines are exactly the same, from November, 1931. They both have a cover called “Amateur Night,” showing a young mother with two kids on her lap. Inside, there’s also a short story called “Amateur Night.”
Inside are many great ads including goiter remedy, the Lindy Flyer Kid’s Wagon, and various contests.
Both copies have very minor tears on the borders, with no effect on the great graphics.
The single copy has a cover entitled “A Young Man in a Hurry” with a short story inside by the same name. There are also short stories entitled “Sweet Nancy” and “Frost.” Along with the many great ads, there are a few fashion patterns listed.
The magazine measures 11 x 13 inches and is made of newsprint. Each edition is 20 pages long.
