I started working with my friend’s estate a couple of years ago, mostly turtle and tortoise stuff. He also collected a large variety of other things, including Legos. I brought back 11 large totes of Legos from his Florida home, but put most of that project off, waiting for the time to sort them all out. The sealed boxes were sold off, but there are many, many more Legos, and I’ve come to realize that I’ll never have the time/patience to sort them into their individual sets. Because he was usually organized, I’ve deliberately left the loose, unsorted Legos in the original totes, hoping that most sets would be all in the one large group of pieces. I do not actually know this, and I do not guarantee it; if any box is open, or if the tote contains some pieces from a particular set, it is fair to assume that some pieces may be missing (I assume his children played with the open sets). All of the known sets are from 1999 - 2004. I am NOT a Lego collector or particularly knowledgeable about collectible toys. I’ve looked online at what these sets, or similar lots, are recently selling for and set prices accordingly. I still have a couple of years I’ve committed to liquidating his estate and will probably drop prices for the last 6 months on whatever is still left. After the first 6 months of posting these, I will start considering discounts for multiple purchases, otherwise, the prices will be fixed for now. This applies to all of my ads for his Legos.
The large totes of unsorted Legos will be sold as-is. You are welcome to peruse the top of the lot, but are not welcome to dig down through until after you have purchased. I believe it is fair to say that what is visible in the photos, or on top, is representative, and that would be fair to other potential buyers. I will not ship the larger lots (I imagine postage on over 35# would be astronomical).
I update my ads every day. If something is sold, it will be removed or marked “sold”. Please do not contact me just to ask if something is still available - it wastes both our time. I check my computer several times each day, but do not live with it attached to my hip, so I might not respond immediately. The quickest way to reach me is via phone, the easiest way to reach me is via email. I have a landline and do NOT text, so if you send a text to me it will disappear into the ethernet and I will never respond.
