1 plate (Manis) and two pages from 1860 book “The Instructive Picture Book: The Geographical Distribution of Animals” or “The Natural History of the Quadrupeds Which Characterise the Principal Divisions of the Globe”. Plate is of Manis (the Pangolin) and text pages are for the Warthog and the Rhinoceros, also the Table of Contents page and a photograph of the title page. Selling four pieces together for $10.00

Original Turtle Diary media packet, including folder with title sheet including cast/credits, copy of newspaper blurb, bag of eight 8” x 10” glossy photographs from the file, and an 18-page stapled packet with credits, cast, background, synopsis, and individual entries/descriptions for each character. The outside folder has gotten a bit beat up, but the contents are in excellent condition. Selling the packet for $75.00

Protective slip with two items inserted. I believe it is a page from an art catalogue and a machine-reproduced (color photocopy?) of Andy Warhol’s Turtle screenprint. The catalogue page (#83, fig 163) is 8” x 10.5”, the other is 8.5” x 11”. (From the internet: Turtle 360A by Andy Warhol features a sea turtle that is layered with shades of purples and blues. The image is based on a photograph, which was then screen printed and illustrated with different colors. The print was made to coincide with the release of the 1985 film Turtle Diary. Directed by John Irvin and based on the novel written by Russell Hoban, the film featured stars such as Ben Kingsley and Glenda Jackson. Warhol published his fair share of animal prints, including his Endangered Species portfolio, which was commissioned to bring awareness to endangered animals and environmental consciousness. Although it is a separate project entirely, Turtle is often conflated with Warhol’s Endangered Species series, which was published two years prior.) Selling the pair for $10.00

Plates from an unknown book, with beautifully colored illustrations of four turtles (Tab.VIII). Right side was stored in a different area and is more foxed. Overall dimensions are 8” x 12.5” and selling these for $25.00

Cover from July 1932 Nature Magazine, with painting by Jean W. Petite of Painted Turtles. 7.25” x 10.75” cover for $20.00

Page from a more modern book with some seriously under-supervised children at a tortoise exhibit. Presumably a book about zoos, because the rhyming text on the back is about grizzly bears. Size is 8.25” x 10.5” and it is well protected in a plastic slip with a boxboard protector. Selling it for $10.00

This seems to be a print on resume-type, 8” x 10” paper, but it is not an original. Nice drawing by Torvik selling for $10.00

Beautifully colored plate from unknown book, with Pl. 697: toucans and tortoise. Dimensions are 7.5” x 11.5” and selling for $20.00

Group of 3 plates, plus original paper covers, from 1913 publication “Separat - Abdruck aus dem XXVII Bande der Annalen des k.k. Naturhistorischen Hofmuseums” (roughly translates to: “separately printed from the XXVII volume of the annals of the k.k. natural history court museum”). Each 7.25” x 11” Covers are in rough shape, but plates are in beautiful condition. Selling as a group for $40.00
