Group of photo proofs from the 2000 book “Herpetofauna of New Caledonia” , by Bauer and Sadlier. Selling these as a group for $12.00
Plate TABCCLXI, from another copy of the old German-language Bible in Ad #3. Captioned ‘Levitici Cap. Xi. V.29” English translation of Leviticus 11:29 is: “Of the animals that move along the ground, these are unclean for you: the weasel, the rat, any kind of great lizard, the gecko, the monitor lizard, the wall lizard, the skink and the chameleon.” This plates shows some of the forbidden animals. Minor yellowing, but the edges are fairly clean. Roughly 12 ½” x 18 1/2”. Selling for $10.00
Nicely framed print of an etching by C.O. Murray (1881) of a painting by J. Alma Padema entitled “Quiet Pets” Frame o.d. is 13.25” x 16.25”, with a few small dings, mat opening is 7.5” x 9.5”. Selling for $40.00
