I have a nice Holmes HCH4266 1500 watt ceramic electric heater. It is missing the knob for off/low/high, but it can be turned with a pair of pliers, or I'll try to find a replacement knob if the correct one doesn't show up soon. Works great. My friend used to keep it under his desk in the basement office.
