Description:
We are a family-oriented, owner-managed property management company seeking a reliable and skilled full-time maintenance technician to service a portfolio of single-family rental homes in the greater Lansing area.
We value professionalism, consistency, and treating both our team and residents with respect. This is a stable, long-term position with steady work and a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
General maintenance and repairs across occupied and vacant homes
Turnover work (make-readies between tenants)
Basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting
Drywall, painting, and flooring repairs
Appliance installation and repair
Exterior repairs (doors, locks, minor landscaping, etc.)
Diagnose issues and provide practical solutions
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Communicate clearly regarding work progress and needs
Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency maintenance (approximately 1 week out of every 5-6 weeks)
Requirements:
Solid residential maintenance experience
Ability to work independently and stay organized
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Basic tools required
Strong problem-solving skills
Professional and respectful demeanor
Preferred (but not required):
Experience with rental property maintenance
Trade certifications (HVAC, electrical, etc.)
Ability to handle small projects independently
