His name is Jake...we adopted him a few days ago, because he was a very good dog. Playful, gives lots of kisses.

Our hope was to have a playmate for our wonderful dog Annie.
Unfortunately, it didn't end up being a good match for Annie as we have watched her go into almost a depressed state, just not herself.
I believe Jake is just a little bit stronger and very innocently, he just kind of moves his way right past Annie, and Annie gives ground and gives way. She was used to being the alpha, but now it is Jake.
So we will be taking Jake back to the Ingham County Animal Shelter, but give Jake very high marks.
I have been able to see that he is pretty well trained when it comes to sit, shake, lay down, stay. I have been working with him giving him treats and he is quickly responsive. I took him out of walks and he tries to pull a little bit, but I would give him a "tist" ala Cesar Milan, step in front of him and he would slow it down. I am pretty confident if you work with him, he will be a very good dog. I just think he isn't a good fit with Annie, so I am going to look for a dog who is a little smaller and is submissive, then I think we will have the right combo. But Jake is a very good dog and someone is going to be very lucky if they take him. Contact me if you are interested in him!
